South Sudan confirms army withdrawal from Abyei
The United Nations confirmed on Saturday that South Sudan reported their troops’ full withdrawal from the contested border region of Abyei, before the deadline, noting that investigations are ongoing to confirm this information.     

Abyei is a Sudan contested border region that witnessed many battles since the division of the country last July.
