Jamil el-Sayed to LBCI: Mawlawi arrest legal
Former director of General Security Jamil el-Sayed told “Nharkom Saiid” show on Monday that Lebanese army and security forces cannot distance themselves, as the government does, because the citizen will have to pay the price, adding that Lebanon is now in a “non-state” situation.

Speaking of Shadi Mawlawi’s arrest by General Security forces in Tripoli, Jamil el-Sayed said that General Security forces have the right to conduct such operation, because the law allows it to act when confronted with armed groups and when fighting terrorism.

Sayed noted that the situation in Tripoli reflects that of Lebanon, adding that Lebanon is in a “pending state” and not stability.
