Scholars meeting calls for referring issue of Sheikh killing to Judicial Council

The scholars meeting on Monday warned against politicizing the issue of the killing of Sheikh Ahmad Abd al-Wahed, calling for punishing the perpetrators.

After their meeting in Akkar, the scholars commended the positions taken by Mufti Qabbani on the incident, calling for the opening of all roads to facilitate the participation in the funeral ceremonies.
The meeting also urged that the issue of the killing incident be referred to the Judicial Council.
