REPORT: New scandals in case of illegal internet

With 200 dollars paid to a customs monitor, the illegal smuggling of internet equipment into Lebanon through the airport was made possible.

The equipment was sent to a company that had engaged in smuggling internet from Cyprus and Turkey into Lebanon.

These facts were mentioned in an indictment issued by First Investigative Military Judge Riad Abou Ghaida, who charged five people, including a customs monitor and head of Postal Parcels Department at the airport, as well as other customs officers.
