Suleiman: all security apparatuses are on full alert
The well being of Arab nationals visiting Lebanon is not compromised, as all security apparatuses are on full alert to offer them a secure and excellent stay, as President Michel Suleiman confirmed to Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Tuesday.

Following violent altercations which extended from north of the country to Beirut on Sunday, numerous Arab countries cautioned their citizens against traveling to Lebanon. Suleiman emphasized the close friendship between Lebanon and other Arab countries to Ali Awad Assiri who convened with him at Baabda Palace today.

"The democracy which countries in the region are demanding already exists in Lebanon under the umbrella of the Taef Accord," said the President, who then called upon all political factions to work together for the sake of civil peace.

Separately, Suleiman convened with Justice Minister Shakib Qortbawi, Environment Minister Nazim Khoury, Internal Security Forces (ISF) chief Ashraf Rifi, ISF Intelligence Bureau head Wissam Hassan, and Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Kyung-wha Kang.

Suleiman had also held talks with Internal Security Forces chief Ashraf Rifi, ISF Intelligence Bureau head Wissam al-Hassan, and later Justice Minister Shakib Qortbawi.
