Army urges citizens to halt solidarity acts

The Lebanese Amy issued a statement on Wednesday thanking the Lebanese citizens for their acts of support in different Lebanese regions, but urged them to immediately remove all banners and pictures showing support and to stop all acts of celebrations, taking into consideration the critical situation the country endures.

Earlier, several Lebanese areas witnessed solidarity rallies with the LAF and its commander General Jean Kahwaji. The rallies took place in Sassine Square in Achrafieh, Jal el-Dib and Sarba.

All LAF supporters carried army flags and emblems.They chanted slogans in support of the military institution.

Tuesday a similar event took place when residents held support rallies for the Lebanese Army throughout Jdeideh and Baouchrieh.
