REPORT: Gemayel from Baabda says Kataeb requested to challenge the tax hike law

Kataeb party leader MP Sami Gemayel asserted on Monday that he requested the challenge of the tax hike law.

“There are only 5 rightful taxes, and the 15 other ones are a danger on the Lebanese people,” Gemayel said following his meeting with President Michel Aoun at the Baabda Presidential Palace.

He concluded by reiterating the need to find other ways to fund the pay scale, adding that President Aoun was positive in this regard.
