Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil stressed Tuesday that some people are trying to imply that the Islamic State and al-Nusra are Hezbollah’s creation but the response is the confessions of high officials that parts of the West and parts of the East supported the extremists.
He noted that we should benefit from the victory of the battle of the mountains to refuse keeping any terrorist cells inside the refugee camps and in their forefront, the Ain al-Helwe camp.
Following the weekly meeting of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc, Bassil emphasized that “the position of the Free Patriotic Movement in the cabinet in 2014 is well known for refusing the unlawful extension of the mandate of LAF commander.
“Did you understand fellow Lebanese why we demanded a new Commander for the army then?” he asked.
