Following their meeting with Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the Grand Serail, Hussein Youssef confirmed on behalf of fallen soldiers’ families that “the soldiers’ case is the responsibility of Hariri and we will not relinquish the right to execute the murderers, and we hope that a death sentence will be issued against anyone who hurt a soldier,” also requesting “the legal pursuit of anyone who colluded and killed the soldiers.”
“Hariri promised us to carry this case along with us and we will never relinquish our right to punish the criminals responsible for the death of the soldiers,” he added.
Youssef also noted that “PM Hariri has been searching for the truth behind the death of his father for 12 years,” adding that “what eases our pain is that our children chose to die honorably in their uniforms and did not defect from the army or betrayed their country as it was rumored during the time they were kidnapped.”
Youssef said that “our first demand is the execution of Omar and Bilal Mikati who participated in the kidnapping and the murder of the soldiers.”
