The families of the martyrs who fell during the terrorist massacre in al-Qaa issued a statement Tuesday, whereby they called on the authorities to include the suicide bombings of al-Qaa in the investigations conducted into the case of Arsal clashes and the abduction of the Lebanese army soldiers.
“This unprecedented terrorist crime could have ignited a sectarian strife, after eight suicide bombers attacked a peaceful town,” the statement read.
The families called on the President “to make the investigation into the crime of June 27, 2016, similar to the one conducted into the abduction of the soldiers,” stressing that the unveiling of the truth and holding the criminals accountable are a true response to terrorism.
