REPORT: Cabinet endorses series of taxes

A Cabinet session was held on Monday to tackle the tax hike law to finance the pay scale.

During the session, the Cabinet approved the 1% increase on the 10% VAT.

MPs also approved a 2500 LBP fee on landline phone bills, and 250 LBP on prepaid cards.

They also endorsed the increase of fees on stamps.

The MPs also endorsed Article 6 which endorses a 250 LBP fee on cigarette packets and a 10 percent increase on cigars.
