The Judicial Council convened Friday afternoon in a trial session expected to see the issuance of a final verdict in the case of assassination of martyr President Bachir Gemayel.
The trial will be attended by a number of officials from the Lebanese Forces and Kataeb parties.
The Council had held five previous sessions to prosecute Habib al-Chartouni.
Tight security measures were implemented in the vicinity of the Justice Palace.
