Head of Finance and Budget Committee MP Ibrahim Kanaan hoped that the cabinet will fulfill its promise to reduce spending in the 2018 budget, mainly regarding the funds allocated to associations.
Kanaan also stressed that next year’s budget must include an economic vision that helps Lebanon reduce the debts and deficits.
Within the framework of treating waste and corruption, Kanaan emphasized the importance of founding a court specialized for financial crimes, noting that this draft law has already been presented to the parliament.
