BDL governor says Lebanese pound remained stable after Hariri’s resignation

Governor of Lebanon’s Central Bank Riad Salameh stressed that the Lebanese Lira remained stable against the US dollar; one day after Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced his resignation from Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, Salameh noted that “this stability serves the interest of Lebanon,” adding that the capabilities are available due to the pre-emptive financial operations conducted by Banque Du Liban.
