Geagea calls Abbas, condemns Trump’s move
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea phone called on Friday Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and condemned US President Donald Trump's Jerusalem decision.
During the phone call, Geagea told Abbas that "this decision will create a moral problem whereby the United States can no longer be a sponsor of negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis.”
“We stand in solidarity with you as this decision is not directed against you alone but against Christians and Muslims in different countries across the world," Geagea told Abbas.

On Wednesday, Trump made a reversal of decades of US policy when he announced Jerusalem the capital of the state of Israel which has infuriated the Arab world and upset Western allies.

He also announced that his administration would begin a process of moving the US Embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
