Electricite du Liban employees and contract workers kept the southern stations closed on Tuesday demanding the realization of their demands and warning of an escalation in movements.
Day workers supervisor Ali Saad called on the officials to “look into their situation and their legitimate rights.”
“We heard recently that the president said that during his reign people will regain their rights. We would like to remind His Excellency that we, EDL workers, have martyrs and some who have become handicapped while providing services to our people and country,” he added.
Addressing the citizens, Saad urged them to stand by them and help them fight for their rights.
