REPORT: Minister Hasbani calls for adoption of comprehensive health coverage

Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani said on Wednesday that the shortage of cancer drug availability at the Karantina Governmental Hospital was solved.

“The medicine will be available in the next few days,” Hasbani added during a press conference.

On another note, Hasbani said that new tenders would be submitted in order to reduce the cost of medicine.

“The goal of the government is to provide medicine for the largest number of citizens in the fairest way and that within the available financial resources,” he added.

The minister concluded by calling for the speedy approval of Budget 2018 and the adoption of comprehensive health coverage.
