The freedom of speech and the freedom of media is a right enshrined in the Lebanese Constitution and in Lebanon’s commitment to the universal declaration of human rights.
 
The income from Lebanon’s media industry was at 200 million in 2011. Today, it has sunk to 40 million and this is partially due to the foreign policy Lebanon has been practicing.
