Minister of Information Melhem Riachy announced on Thursday following the cabinet’s session that the ministers approved all the clauses of the agenda.
“The cabinet also agreed to allocate a credit of 50 billion LBP to the Ministry of Interior for the parliamentary elections,” he added.
Riachy also noted that President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and the ministers refuse the violation of freedoms which are considered sacred.
“The cabinet decided to dedicate a day off for the martyrs of justice,” reiterated Riachy.
During the session, Minister Riachy commented on Marcel Ghanem’s case, saying that “it has been resolved after we took action.”
For his part, Minister of Social Affairs Pierre Bou Assi said that “a faceoff with Israel is not considered as disassociation.”
“We are not supposed to bring militants from Yemen, Iraq, or any other country as if we are degrading the state,” Bou Assi added.
In addition, Minister Ali Kanso and Minister Mohammad Fneish considered that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah did not intend to call in militants.
