MP Gemayel calls for forming a parliamentary inquiry committee
Kataeb party leader MP Sami Gemayel called on Tuesday for forming a parliamentary inquiry committee to hold the political authority accountable for its failure in dealing with the waste crisis.
 
Gemayel’s comments were made after the joint committees’ meeting whereby he said that the political leaders will not approve any plan to deal with the waste crisis before the parliamentary elections.
 
He also blamed the government for Lebanon’s deteriorating environmental situation and for transforming the Lebanese coast into a "dustbin."
