ISF arrest man for hacking social media accounts

The Internal Security Forces arrested a man (Born in 1996) for hacking social media accounts, stealing personal information, threatening people of sharing their photos and blackmailing them.

The security forces were able to identify the suspect who is a Syrian national and arrested him in the region of Sabra and Shatila on 09/01/2018.

During interrogations, the man confessed of attempting to hack 350 accounts but was only able to hack 50.

The security forces asked the Lebanese nationals to be careful while posting their photos and personal information on social media platforms and not to click on any suspicious link.
