Future Bloc: Dialogue inefficient if weapons issue not discussed

The Future bloc confirmed on Tuesday its adherence to March 14 goals and commitment to the rescue initiative presented to President Michel Sleiman.

The Future bloc noted, after its weekly meeting, that Fouad Siniora informed it of the dialogue’s developments, pointing that the positions of some participating parties are “restating the language of distrust and threat”, whether it was directly or indirectly, and reveal their actual goals, especially that the weapons issue was not discussed during the first session.

The bloc considered that the existence of weapons helped PM Najib Mikati in reaching the presidency for the third time and remaining in his position.
