The Maronite Bishops welcomed Wednesday the Baabda meeting and its outcome, hoping that it will be an opening for further awareness about the danger of the political disputes that affect the country’s stability and economic situation.
Following their regular monthly meeting in Bkerke, the bishops expressed support for the Lebanese efforts on regional and international levels to prevent Israel from building a concrete wall inside the Lebanese borders and from attempting to take control over the oil and gas wealth in the Lebanese regional waters.
The bishops also called for explaining the electoral law to the citizens, urging the authorities to assume their responsibilities in fulfilling the citizens’ rightful demands.
