REPORT: Hariri says reforms will be implemented whether we win elections or not

Prime Minister Saad Hariri asserted on Wednesday that the reforms would benefit all Lebanese people, adding that there will be transparency in adopting these reforms by the government.

“We confess that there is corruption in the country,” Hariri said during a press conference about the results of Cedre conference that was held in Paris.

Hariri noted that the granted loans are for implementing infrastructure projects, adding that without the political consensus, the conference would not have succeeded.

“Reforms must be implemented whether we won the elections or not,” he added.
On another note, Hariri said that President Michel Aoun and Speaker Nabih Berri are trying to dissociate the country of the regional crisis.

“I have full confidence that Lebanon will not be affected by anything.” He added.

As for the possible US strikes in Syria, Harir concluded by reiterating his commitment to the dissociation policy.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday warned Russia of a forthcoming response to suspected chemical attack in Syria, declaring that missiles "will be coming" and blasting Moscow for standing by Syrian President Bashar Assad.
