Smoking in public transportation banned, violators face 135,000 LBP fine
Minister of Public Works and Transportation Ghazi Aridi launched on Wednesday the last phase of a law banning smoking in public transportation vehicles, warning that violators will face a 135,000 LBP fine.        

Aridi made his statement after meeting with public transportation unions and “Free Life without smoking” association (Hayat Horra Bila Tadkhin).           

Aridi stressed that multiple advertising campaigns will be launched through audiovisual media, adding that awareness campaigns against smoking will also be held.
