More than one month has passed since the new parliament took office and 128 deputies started getting paid their salaries and allocations without any productivity.
Every deputy receives a salary of 10,952,000 Lebanese Pounds per month; which means that the salaries of 128 deputies combined in one month reach more than 1.4 billion Lebanese Pounds.
In addition to their salaries, there are the costs of 4 security men for every deputy, reaching per month 7,200,000 Lebanese Pounds per four security personnel. Consequently, the security of the 128 deputies is costing the state nearly 921 million Lebanese Pounds.
The expenses do not stop here; the deputies also receive allocations for health care and other amenities.
