Aoun: Current year may be better than previous years at tourism level

President Michel Aoun met on Thursday with former Iraqi Vice President Iyad Allawi at the Baabda Presidential palace.

Discussions reportedly featured high over the progress of Lebanese-Iraqi relations after the recent official presidential visit to Baghdad.

On another note, Aoun met with President of the Beirut Merchants Association, Nicolas Chammas whereby discussions tackled the current economic in the country.

For his part, Chammas stressed the importance of the swift cabinet and to grant the economic dossier top priority in light of the sharp decline in various fields.

This as Aoun also met with a delegation from the Board of Directors of "La Marina" Club in Dbayeh headed by Professor Joseph Hobeich.

"Thanks to the security and stability witnessed in Lebanon, the current year may be better than previous years at the tourism level,” Aoun said.
