Gemayel to LBCI: boycotting parliamentary session does not target any particular party

MP Sami Gemayel said on Tuesday that boycotting the parliamentary session is “not directed against anyone, but aims at organizing the democratic life inside the Parliament”.

Gemayel told Nharkom Said that all Christian blocs were on the opposition side in Monday’s session because they wanted to introduce modifications to the laws.

“Is it permissible to pass a law without the approval of all parliamentary Christian blocs who opposed yesterday the [tenure-related] law?”, he added.

Gemayel stressed that they will continue seeking more democratic parliamentary sessions, noting that he proposed a draft law regarding electronic vote."
