“Strong Lebanon” bloc called on all the Lebanese parties and components of the Lebanese government to rise to the challenge facing Lebanon in the case of the Syrian refugees.
Following the bloc’s weekly meeting, MP Ibrahim Kanaan read the statement, saying that “the main objective is the safe return of the Syrian refugees to their country and the cabinet must work as one entity in order to achieve this national and strategic goal.”
“The priorities we want to see in the government are productivity not debates,” Kanaan said, noting that the cabinet must engage in parliamentary control through a national budget and reforms.
