In Lebanon, corruption has infiltrated the majority of institutions, reaching the identification documents of ambassadors and diplomats after uncovering a network specializing in forging and selling ambassadors' IDs for a price ranging between $500 to $10,000.
Suspects have been under investigations for impersonated ambassadors after buying IDs from foreign organizations that are not recognized by the Foreign Ministry.
After acquiring these IDs, the suspects organized conferences in Beirut to help whoever seeks to become an ambassador or a diplomat for certain organizations.
