Lebanese authorities have issued urgent instructions to citizens who encounter missing children, emphasizing the importance of calm and swift action to ensure the child’s safety. The guidelines aim to help families and the public respond effectively while alerting the appropriate authorities.

Key steps outlined include:

* Speak to the child calmly and try to reassure and comfort them.
* If possible, take the child to the nearest relief center, rescue team, municipal police, gendarmerie, civil defense, Red Cross, or other humanitarian service providers.
* Once in a safe location with the child, immediately inform the relevant authorities or call the following numbers:
