LADE: Flagrant violation of electoral silence
The Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (LADE) supervised on Sunday the by]elections in the northern city of Tripoli through 170 observers and monitors distributed on various polling stations, including 43 permanent observers within a 10% sample of polling stations in the city.

In a statement, the association said that the electoral process appeared to be until present "relatively calm", with no security issues reported. It added that the Association's observers were not banned from entering polling stations.

The Association also reminded all candidates and the media outlets to respect the electoral silence and not to violate article No. 78 of the Election Law No. 44/2017, mainly in light of the flagrant violation of this article by several candidates, media outlets and politicians, including Yehya Mawloud, Samir al-Jisr, Mosbah al-Ahdab, Violette Safadi, Dima Jamali, Nizar Zakka, Talal Kabbara and others.
