MPs Gemayel, Yaacoubian submit lifting bank secrecy draft law
MPs Sami Gemayel and Paula Yaacoubian declared on Thursday that they presented a draft law to lift bank secrecy.

Gemayel said that they redrafted the law in a way that does not accept appeal in the Constitutional Council, adding that they facilitated its mechanisms.

“We also added the parties, the heads of parties and contractors to it," he added.

He also voiced hopes that the draft law would be approved as soon as possible.

This as Gemayel asserted that the cooperation with Yaacounbian will continue in all reforms, adding that “the garbage dossier will end up with a huge disaster.”

For her part, Yaacoubian said that the proposed draft law includes necessary reforms that make it effective.
She also stressed the need to approve the law of sorting waste from the source because it reduces the amount of garbage.
