Lebanese Communist Party marks Labor Day, declares open sit-in for next few days

The Lebanese Communist Party and other civil society groups and unions marched on Wednesday towards Martyrs’ Square in central Beirut, to mark Labor Day and to protest against corruption and waste of public funds. They also expressed rejection to a national budget that affects the low-income employees and poor factions of the people.

They also announced a sit-in to be staged in the square until the fourth of May.
