Princess Hayat Arslan to LBCI: cabinet’s work disappointing

Princess Hayat Arslan declared on Tuesday that the alibi used to bring down women’s quota during Monday’s cabinet session was "blunt and overly offensive", noting that the request was to have a quota for seats for women not a quota for candidacy. Princess Arslan said that ruling out this item shows the “unity of the cabinet in formulating disappointing decisions”.

In a statement to Nharkom Said on LBCI, Arslan said that the women’s movement will hold a meeting followed by a press conference on Wednesday, where they will raise their voice, not only for the women’s interests, but for the country as a whole. “Why are women not allowed participation in the decision-making process?” she asked.
