The telecom and mobile phones sector in Lebanon brings around $1 billion per year into the state treasury. The amount may rise or drop depending on the expenditure of the two mobile operator companies.
In 2018, the revenue of this sector decreased significantly and the expenses increased to around $661 million, mainly after the citizens switched to the internet-based apps to conduct their calls.
