Energy Minister Nada Boustany stated that “the appeal did not halt the electricity plan but took us back to adopting old laws from 1959 and 1963 and that do not comply with the modern types of energy purchasing contracts.
Via her Twitter account, the minister noted that despite the obstacles, the implementation will continue with transparency and in accordance with the decisions issued by the cabinet, stressing that guaranteeing power supply to the Lebanese people is a duty.
