LAF deploys in border towns to restore security and stability

The LAF leadership issued a statement on Saturday saying that the army is deployed in the border town of Akroum and other regions of the north Bekaa located in the Lebanese territory, following bloody clashes between residents of Akroum and members of Jaafar Family on Friday night, leaving two injured from Akroum and numerous homes destroyed. This army deployment aims at separating the armed groups and restoring security and stability to the regions.

The LAF leadership stressed that it will not be tolerant with abusers of the citizens’ security, and will fire back heavily at the sources of gunfire, calling on residents to cooperate with the military forces in order to detect any suspicious case and deal with it as quickly as possible.
