Charbel describes Rai’s visit to Akkar as historical

Interior Minister Marwan Charbel described on Monday Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai’s visit to Akkar as historical, stressing that tight security measures were implemented in Akkar to secure a safe visit.

In an interview with VDL, Charbel called for “giving the judiciary a chance to perform its work and continue the investigations in the case of former Minister Michel Samaha”.

Commenting on Milad Kfoury’s departure from Lebanon, Charbel said: “No one, but the judiciary, has the right to take decisions concerning this person or anyone listed in the case”.
