Drugs mixed with sweets detected at Beirut International Airport
The security forces at Beirut International Airport aborted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics to Australia via Abu Dhabi, when the inspection team detained two Australian citizens who tried to smuggle drugs stashed carefully inside six boxes of sweets weighting 20 kilos.

After careful examination, authorities discovered that the drugs were mixed with the sweets in a very creative way which is difficult to detect.

The bearers of the boxes were transferred to the anti-narcotic department which will conduct further investigation before referring the suspects to judicial authorities.
