Soldier killed during shooting in Sir El Donniye, LAF arrests suspects

The Lebanese Armed Command declared on Monday that an unknown individual opened fire on Sunday evening using a military gun towards the soldier Mohammad Tahsin al-Alam, due to previous disputes between residents of Sir El Donniye. The soldier was hit and later died of his wounds.
The Army command noted that an army patrol rushed to the scene, stormed houses in the town, arrested a number of people said to be involved and seized weapons and ammunition in their possession.

The army forces continue to pursue the perpetrator, while the military police took charge of the investigation in the case. The detainees were transferred with the seized items to the competent authorities.
