Duquesne asserts need for a series of reforms
French inter-ministerial delegate for the Mediterranean who is in charge of following up on the implementation of the resolutions of the CEDRE conference Pierre Duquesne asserted on Tuesday that a series of reforms suggested during the conference must be tackled inside the Cabinet in the next few weeks.

Duquesne’s comments were made after meeting with Minister of Finance Ali Hassan Khalil whereby he noted that the 2020 Budget was discussed; stressing that it should be adopted in its due time.

“This is mandatory, not for the International community, but for Lebanon,” he added.

The French envoy also noted that the CEDRE conference is still existing, stressing commitment to an investment program.
