Minister of State for Displaced Affairs Saleh Al-Gharib met Wednesday with Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon Emmanuel Lamoureux at the ministry’s headquarters, where they tackled the issue of Syrian refugees and the contributions and humanitarian initiatives of Canada in this context.
They also discussed the problem of Syrian refugee births in Lebanon. Al-Gharib stressed that Lebanon cannot tolerate delay into this file.
"Radical solutions are needed," the minister confirmed. "We will present the general policy paper prepared by the ministry to Lebanese officials. It will take into considerations Lebanon's interests, and the relevant international laws and standards."
