Jreissati: Diplomatic contacts ongoing in hostage case

Labor Minister Salim Jreissati lauded the policy of “silence” adopted in the case of the 11 Lebanese hostages, adding that the Lebanese state has not abandoned its citizens.

“It is out of question to provide any information on the hostage case”, he added.During a press conference following the meeting of the follow-up ministerial committee, Jreissati announced that the upcoming session will be held on Monday at 3:00 pm.

“Diplomatic contacts are ongoing”, Jreissati confirmed, adding “no new updates in the case before negotiations reach advanced stage”.
