Speaker Berri: Lebanon is in dire need to enact laws that include people’s demands

Speaker Nabih Berri stressed on Wednesday need to enact new laws, projects and draft laws in the next legislative session that include the people’s rightful demands.

Berri also called on the need to be vigilant to the seriousness of the current phase that Lebanon is passing through, and the swift formation of a new government.

This as MP Ali Bazzi quoted Berri as saying that “the economic situation is much worse than it was in 2005.”

On another note, Bazzi noted to "the deliberate delay" of the French company Total in the exploration works of Block 9.

Bazzi also stressed that the necessary contacts with the competent authorities has been made and a delegate was sent to France to meet with Total.
