Caretaker Education Minister Akram Chehayeb declared Monday that “due to the continued popular movements that called for a general strike on Tuesday and in order to preserve the safety of the students and out of respect for their right to democratic expression, the schools, universities and colleges will close on Tuesday November 12, 2019.”
