ZR Energy Company won on Monday the state tender held by the Energy Ministry to import gasoline, over two other companies that submitted bids, Oman Trading International and LEBNEFT Fzc.
The bids were opened during live TV coverage, in the presence of caretaker Energy Minister Nada Boustani, who congratulated the Lebanese after the state entered the fuel importing market.
“The most important thing is that there will no longer be fear of a gasoline crisis,” she said, adding that the market remains open for any company.
The minister also stressed that the tender was held in compliance with transparency standard.
