Hezbollah to participate in Papal Welcome Ceremony

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem expressed content towards the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Lebanon, calling on all parties to participate in the welcome ceremony in order to "show the Pope that all parties in Lebanon coexist away from political disputes".

During a reception for a delegation from the committee charged with organizing the Pope’s visit to Lebanon on Thursday, Qassem said that Hezbollah will participate in the welcome ceremony and the different activities that will accompany the Pope’s visit, hoping that the visit will meet its targets.
