Coronavirus does not survive on letters and packages coming from China-Health Minister

Minister of Health Hassan Samad said on Monday that there is no fear from the coronavirus spreading through parcels coming from China.

Samad’s comments were made via his Twitter account whereby he said that citizens receiving letters and packages coming from China to Lebanon are not at risk of getting coronavirus transmitted to them.

“Tests confirmed that the virus does not survive for a long time on the surface of items such as letters and packages,” he added.
