Beirut Hospital workers lift their sit-in

Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil followed up on Wednesday on the issue of the sit-in held by the workers of Rafik Hariri University Hospital, to protest the delay in salary payments. In this context, the minister appointed his adviser Hassan Jaafar who met with representatives of the workers and informed them of the minister’s promise to pay their wages, in order “to keep the work ongoing at the hospital”.

Accordingly, the media office of Health Minister issued a statement whereby he declared that the workers lifted their sit-in and resuming their normal tasks.
